Overview

SpendPause ("the app", "we") is built on a simple principle: your spending habits are your business. SpendPause does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Everything you enter stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. SpendPause collects no personal data whatsoever.

The following is stored locally on your device only using Apple's SharedPreferences:

• —Prices and names of purchases you pause or log
• —Timestamps of your pause sessions
• —Whether you skipped or completed a purchase
• —Your subscription status (active or not)
• —Notification preferences

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to any server, not shared with any third party, and not used for any advertising or analytics purpose.

Third-party services

SpendPause uses the following Apple platform services only:

• —App Store / StoreKit: To process in-app purchases (Premium subscription). Apple handles all payment data — we never see your payment details.
• —Local Notifications: To send optional 24-hour wait reminders. Notification content is generated on-device and never transmitted externally.

No analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or tracking libraries are included in SpendPause.

Local storage

SpendPause stores your pause history using Apple's SharedPreferences on your device. This data is included in standard iOS device backups (iCloud or iTunes/Finder) and is subject to Apple's own privacy and security practices. You can delete all app data at any time from within the app's Settings screen, or by uninstalling SpendPause.

Notifications

If you enable 24-hour wait reminders, SpendPause schedules local notifications on your device. These notifications are created and delivered entirely on-device — no data is sent to any server to deliver them. You can revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings → SpendPause → Notifications.

Children's privacy

SpendPause is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. As no data is collected from any user, this requirement is satisfied by design.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SpendPause after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
